PTA assists SKOLAR pupils

Pursuant to the vision-mission of Saint Mary’s University Grade School Department Parent-Teacher Association, Inc., the group through its project Support for Kids with Outstanding and Laudable Activities and Responsibility (SKOLAR) gave financial assistance to 10 grantees.
The 10 SKOLAR grantees personally accepted their certificate of scholarship during the PTA General Assembly last July 19 at the Rev. Fr. Tonus Gymnasium of Saint Mary’s University.
The scholars are Rosalia Tuazon,Kristine Villalobos,Frizzel Kate Tambalque,Jayvie Tanawe(Gr.V);StephenAerix Moreno(Gr.IV);Aishwarya Blando,Aenjel Asuncion,Yman Zoe Macadangdang(Gr.III);Jan Anthony Pasilor(Gr.II) and Krizzia Asuncion(Gr.I).
Mrs. Iris Luisa O. Gabatino,PTA treasurer said that each awardee is entitled of financial assistance covering actual tuition fee of seven thousand five hundred pesos(P7500) for school year 2015-2016.
Mrs. Lilia Macadangdang, a grandparent, expressed her gratitude to the PTA.
“I’m so thankful to the PTA for choosing my grandson Yman Zoe as a scholar;the financial assistance would help him a lot,” she said.

When asked how the awardees were selected, Engr. Eusebio C. Ildefonso, former PTA president, said that the teachers gave a list of recommendees to him which he submitted and was verified by a team led by Dr. Ma. Cristeta M. Aduca,principal.
Aduca then presented the final list of candidates to the faculty and PTA officers which was approved by the PTA Board Officers headed by the PTA president in concurrence with Mr. Norbert Garra, the present PTA president.
